We spent our Friday out on the Everglades with Captain Cody, and it turned into one of the most special experiences we’ve had in a long time. From the very first few minutes, it was clear this wasn’t going to be a typical fast, loud airboat ride. We started slowly, gliding just a few feet off the water through the lily pads, and honestly I remember thinking “oh no, this is going to be slow.” I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Captain Cody is deeply, genuinely passionate about the Everglades, and that passion is contagious. He’s not just driving a boat, he’s educating you the whole way about the wildlife, the plant life, and the history of the land. We got to see several alligators, including a nesting mother with her babies close enough that it felt unreal. He explained that she recognized his voice and trusted him enough to let us get near, which says everything about how connected he is to this ecosystem after years out there.

Beyond the gators, he walked us through the history of the Seminole people, pointed out old stilt structures built out on the water, and explained the story behind them. He also talked about the invasive species causing real problems out there, like iguanas and pythons (thankfully we didn’t run into any pythons that day).

What struck me most was that he never once used a GPS. He simply knew the Everglades, every turn and channel, from experience. His philosophy really stuck with me: anyone can gun it and go fast in a boat, but he’d rather slow down and help you actually appreciate what you’re looking at. It genuinely felt like being inside a nature documentary rather than on a tour.

We lucked out with a beautiful overcast morning and a light breeze on the water, which made the whole thing even better. Captain Cody’s knowledge, patience, and love for what he does made this feel completely one of a kind. If you want more than just a quick thrill ride through the swamp, and actually want to understand and appreciate the Everglades, he’s the guy to go with. Cannot recommend him enough.

This was honestly one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had! Our guide, I believe it was Captain Cody, was absolutely amazing. He told us so much about the history of the Everglades and was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. I learned so many interesting things, and we got to see SO many alligators. I highly, highly recommend this company to anyone visiting the Everglades. We had an amazing trip. It was the highlight of our trip to Florida. Captain Robbie was so knowledgeable. We learnt lots, saw alligators, birds and even a little turtle and above all experienced the magical peacefulness of the Everglades which is indescribable. Thank you again . Among all the airboat tours that I have taken in the Florida Everglades, Capt Jim’s Airboat ride has been the best. He is very knowledgeable and during the trip, he would provide a lot of information about the river and how the local Natives had survived using the resources available in the Everglades, which made the trips more meaningful. My family and I had a great experience with Florida Airboating.  Capt Jim was very communicative throughout the process. Capt Cody was our guide and was very informative.  We saw a lot of wildlife and several gators.  Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!
